Listening Sessions have been representing the highest grade of homegrown electronic music in Birmingham since 2013. Hosting their monthly showcase events at Club PST on the first Thursday of every month at Club PST, local producers meet up to test their latest creations on the club’s custom-built sound system. This is the melting pot for producers in the city and the place to hear exclusive music getting its first play out in the open! 

Spanning the full spectrum of electronic music, Listening Sessions Live events invite some of the most pioneering DJs and producers and labels from around the UK to join the diverse roster of artists within the local community to create some of the most forward-thinking line-ups that flow through genres to build and expand as the night develops. You can expect to hear Reggae/Dub, Hip-hop, Garage, House, Techno, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Jungle and more on a single night. 

Listening Sessions’ mission is to encourage collaboration, development and diversity within the electronic music community. The grass roots community spirit nurtured by the brand has resulted in a number of signings to both local, national and international record labels. Now the journey continues as Listening Sessions opens a new chapter with the start of their very own music label to share the wealth of talent from within their community with the rest of the world! The label’s inaugural release, “Contortion/Exoskeleton + Remixes” by Listening Sessions regular Yilan has just been released and is enjoying support on leading UK radio stations such as Rinse.fm, Radar Radio and NTS.
