Listening Sessions have been representing homegrown electronic music in Birmingham since 2013. Hosting their monthly producer showcase events on the first Wednesday of every month, upstairs at The Dark Horse in Moseley, local producers meet up to test their latest creations on the club’s sound system. This is the melting pot for producers in the city and the place to hear exclusive music getting its first play out in the open!

Spanning the full spectrum of electronic music, Listening Sessions events invite the diverse roster of artists within the local community to share their own work, creating a sound palette that flows through genres to build and expand as the night develops.

Founded by Elkie and Goosensei, Listening Sessions’ mission is to encourage collaboration, development and diversity within the electronic music community. The grassroots community spirit nurtured since day one has resulted in a number of signings to local, national and international record labels for associated producers. The community support has nurtured many long-lasting and solid friendships.
